PlacementKeep Privacy Policy

PlacementKeep is built so that your placement data never leaves your computer.

What we store

Everything you enter (clients, placements, candidate references, salaries,

fees, invoice dates, notes, and settings) is stored locally in your browser

using chrome.storage.local. There is no PlacementKeep server. Nothing is

uploaded, synced, or transmitted by us, anywhere, ever.

What we can see

Nothing. We have no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no way to

read your data. We could not produce your data in response to a request because

we never have it.

What the extension touches

• No host permissions. PlacementKeep cannot read, and does not run on, any

website you visit: not your ATS, not LinkedIn, not your email.

• No logins. It never asks for credentials to any system.
• Candidate data stays in your ATS. PlacementKeep stores only the reference

you type (a name or requisition id) so you can recognize the placement.

The one exception: payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by ExtensionPay

(backed by Stripe). If you choose to upgrade, the checkout happens on

extensionpay.com and is governed by their

privacy policy. The extension stores only a

cached paid/unpaid flag locally. We never see or handle card details, and no

placement data is included in any payment request.

Notifications

If you enable deadline alerts, notifications are generated locally by the

extension from your own data. They do not involve any network activity.

Backups and exports

The JSON backup and CSV export features write files to your computer at your

request. Where you keep those files is up to you.

Data removal

Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data. You can also export

a backup first from Options.

Licence check

PlacementKeep bundles ExtensionPay, which handles the

optional paid upgrade. So a purchase is recognised on this device, PlacementKeep asks

ExtensionPay for your licence status automatically when your browser starts, and

again when you open the extension's own pages — this happens whether or not you

have ever paid. That request carries a random per-installation identifier and

nothing else: no page content, no URLs, no file names, and nothing you have

created in the extension. If you buy Pro, ExtensionPay and Stripe handle the

payment on their own page and your email is held in your ExtensionPay account;

we never see or store your card details. Everything you make with PlacementKeep stays

on your computer.
